Widget Experience

The published React SDK renders a launcher and panel with configured branding, assistant questions and authored-tour suggestion chips. For compatible package versions, see API & Authentication.

Assistant release status

A suggestion without tourSlug and startTour(query) send assistant requests, with optional, policy-approved navigation offers. Client chat history remains mounted interface state rather than an audit record. Guidance defaults on with an informational-only opt-out.

An accepted offer highlights the exact eligible live control. The user clicks, and fresh observation verifies progress. There is no auto-click, Skip or provider-failure fallback. A URL change alone does not complete guidance. See Live Guidance & Privacy for how guidance works, the five-minute disable delay and optional label consent.

Playing an authored tour

A suggestion with tourSlug or playTour(slug) launches a saved active tour. The tour renderer highlights its reviewed steps and observes user interaction according to the authored action. The host user remains responsible for clicks and business actions. Use the tour's stop control to end playback safely.

Customization and visibility

Dashboard settings control brand name, HTTPS logo, welcome copy, primary color, theme, position, and global visibility. Provider props can supply local theme or visibility decisions. Use renderChat={false} with useNavieo() when building a custom chat interface.

Integration boundary

Mount one provider at the application root, use NavieoNextProvider for Next.js routing, or pass onNavigate to the generic provider for another SPA router. Never expose the secret app key in the browser; the widget uses the publishable key.
