What is Navieo

Navieo is an in-product assistant for React applications. It answers questions from a scanned codebase and curated documentation and supports live-first guidance alongside reusable authored tours. Check release compatibility for available features before integrating.

Ask assistant

Users ask a question in the embedded widget and receive a text answer grounded in the application's sitemap and embedded documentation. The host application still owns authentication, authorization, and every business action.

Assistant questions require a compatible SDK release. See API & Authentication.

Live-first guidance

The live page supplies controls; explicit policy filters them; Google selects an eligible option; the user clicks; fresh observation verifies arrival and declared goals. The scanner supplies routes and context without having to map every eligible visible link. Page names and account/app context help identify the destination you mean without overriding your application's permissions.

Guidance is enabled by default. App settings or the SDK can opt out for informational-only answers; sharing live labels is a separate opt-in. Disabling guidance can take up to five minutes across the service. See Live Guidance & Privacy.

An answer explains a task; a navigation offer starts a guide. Reaching a destination does not prove that the user completed a business transaction.

Authored tours

Teams create reusable tours from the dashboard or visual authoring flow. Each tour has saved steps, selectors, copy, triggers, and a draft/active lifecycle. A suggestion with a tourSlug or application code using playTour(slug) launches the saved tour directly; an assistant answer never becomes an executable tour.

Dashboard workflow

  1. Create an app and copy its publishable key.
  2. Add the published @navieo/react package to the host application.
  3. Open Codebase → Connect and connect a GitHub repository.
  4. Run Codebase → Scan and review routes and elements under Codebase → Knowledge.
  5. Add safe product documentation under Docs and choose what is embedded.
  6. Try an authored tour in your application; try assistant questions after installing a compatible SDK release.
  7. Use Analytics to review answer delivery, feedback, and available navigation/tour diagnostics separately.

Product boundaries

Navieo is not session replay, authentication, authorization, or business-process automation. It must not fill credentials, submit forms, save settings, delete data, or treat a client signal as proof that a business task succeeded.
