Settings Page

Open Settings for app-level keys, widget configuration, and hosted documentation settings. The page has General, Widget, and Docs Site tabs. Administrative mutations are enforced by the backend even when the dashboard hides a control from non-admin members. These are settings for the selected app. Account settings are a separate dashboard page; changing the current app does not change the meaning of account-level settings.

General

API keys

Each app has two keys:

  • Publishable key (nv_pub_...) — intended for browser SDK requests.
  • Secret key (nv_secret_...) — intended only for trusted server integrations. Never include it in browser code, public repositories, screenshots, or client logs.

The secret key is masked to a short prefix by default. An app administrator can explicitly reveal, hide, copy, or regenerate it; the revealed value stays only in the mounted page state and is not placed in URLs or persistent browser storage. Update every consumer after rotating a key. API-key lookups are cached per worker, so do not treat rotation as an instantaneous cross-worker emergency revocation mechanism.

Test Query

Send a bounded assistant query using the app's publishable key and inspect the safe response. The preview intentionally removes the prompt interaction identifier from its rendered JSON. This is an API preview, not a visual guide test: it does not launch a guide on your application's page. Verify guidance in the application itself.

Danger Zone

App administrators can permanently delete the app and associated data after typing the app name in the confirmation dialog. This action is not an app-transfer or rename workflow.

Widget

The Widget tab separates guidance, label privacy and appearance:

  • Live guidance is the server-side app permission for compatible SDK builds. New apps default on; an existing opt-out remains off. Disabling retains informational answers rather than selecting another navigation architecture. The SDK can opt out with enableDynamicNavigation={false}, but cannot override a server opt-out. Turning this on cannot upgrade an older published package.
  • Live label privacy is independent and off by default. Allowing short navigation labels also requires the SDK liveLabels opt-in. Review the disclosure to Navieo and Google and the sensitive-route exclusions before saving.
  • Appearance configures light/dark theme, primary color, bottom-left/right/center position, brand name, HTTPS logo URL, welcome message, and global visibility.

The guidance switch saves its own setting. Label privacy uses Save label policy; appearance uses Save Changes. Explicit provider values can narrow guidance permission or override corresponding presentation settings.

When disabling guidance takes effect

Disabling live guidance can take up to five minutes to apply across the service; during that interval some requests may still allow guidance. SDK configuration refreshes separately. This is not an immediate emergency stop. Use Stop for the current guide and keep host permissions enforced.

Live-label consent is independently re-read on page-planning requests and fails off if unavailable. It is not governed by that server guidance cache. See Live Guidance & Privacy for capture, consent and retention details.

Docs Site

Configure:

  • a subdomain served at https://<subdomain>.docs.navieo.io;
  • an optional custom domain with CNAME verification;
  • primary color, navigation style, light/dark/system theme, site title, and HTTPS favicon URL.
